Watercolour Layers (and some bumblebees)

By Creative Planning Team Member - Kylie Ashby

I’ve been really getting into watercolour again just lately and I recently took part in an online workshop where I learned how to layer my watercolours. For something a bit different this week, I decided to splash some paint around in my planner.

I chose to use the Prima Watercolour Pastel Dreams pallets, with some splatters in ‘Treasure’ taken from the Shimmering Lights pallet, also by Prima. Then I added stickers from the ‘Honey’ collection as well as some Penguin Joes (of course!) I love a bee and I love the colours in this collection. I’m really pleased with the result and I absolutely love the way the paper crinkles.

My video will show you how but, be warned, it’s a long one so grab yourself a brew, have a go in your own planner and then share in the EllieBeth Design UK Facebook group.
