My EDC Carry Story

It took me a while to settle in a long-term EDC planner largely because when I first started seriously planning about 18 months ago, I wanted ALL THE PLANNERS! I have to say, I was a little dazed and confused by all the brands, sizes and styles available and therefore trying out a few didn’t seem unreasonable. And then there were stickers! So many stickers to choose from but …. would they fit in the planner I was using? Buy ALL THE STICKERS and see! Oops. Straight down the rabbit hole.

Hobonichi and Happy Planner EDC

This week the Design Team are talking about their EDCs (EveryDay Carry planners). For a more detailed look at the evolving nature of her EDC watch for Tracy Macheta's blog post on Wednesday.

I kind of have two everyday carry planners! My main EDC at the moment is (possibly controversially) a classic happy planner! It has the hard cover to add a bit more stability and it is frankenplanned to include my wellness planning and bullet journaling in one place. I've now also got a section for work notes. It goes everywhere with me. I do also have a Hobonichi weeks in my travel wallet with all the gumph from my purse that I don't use everyday. It goes with me sometimes and is the one goes with me if I'm travelling light.

My September 'New Year' process & where my planning is now

September 1st for me is more a time for change than January 1st as for the last 18 years it's been the start of a new school year. It's the time that I revamp my planning style and content to accommodate changing family schedules and acknowledge the growth of my children.

It's 'New Year' time again for me and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm currently in 2 planners and looking at adding a 3rd. But before I go into what planners I'm using I thought I'd explain my 'new year' process.
