Chic Sparrow, Erin Condren, Hobonichi 2020

This was a hard one for me as longterm planning isn’t something I really take a look at. I store all my future appointments and events in my Google calendar & for the last 19 years my planning has been neatly 3 term driven each year with nursery and then school. But we’re in the last year of school now and things will change for me where University will be less about me keeping track of educational events. I’m pleased to say my Daughter already has a planner of her own for that! So, I am starting to look towards other projects and events and have been deciding what I want to use for my planners next year. Yes, I did say planners….. one just isn’t an option and I’m fine with that – it give me space and it allows me to try new things too.

Hobonichi weeks for productive planning

Planning for Productivity

Why do we plan? For fun and we enjoy it? We need to? Work? Personal? Health? Just to use pretty stickers? To be more productive?  When I started planning it was 'ooh look how pretty that layout is' and 'look at those stickers'. But lately productivity is more the point for me. I’ve always had a diary or planner of some sort.  The stickers came later! I’ve always had lists of tasks to do and kept reminders of important dates such as birthdays. But lately I’ve been looking at it in a completely different way. Planning your day is one of the most important things you can do to make difficult tasks easier. It increases your productivity and makes you feel more fulfilled, well it does me anyway! Planning your day allows you to prioritise tasks, complete them and get them ticked off! Isn’t that satisfying?

Back to school and beyond in a passion planner

Back to School and Beyond

For the first time in 26 years, I am not returning to school or education in September. It’s a very strange feeling. I am starting a new work adventure, which of course means a new work planner! To get inspiration though, I have been through past work planners which has made me smile. In this post, I am sharing some of my favourite back to school planner things.
