Hobonichi Autumn Mindmaps
By Creative Planning Team Member - Korrieann Scott Peters
A few weeks ago I watched a tutorial from my lovely friend Clare Brown, we made mind maps of the things that make us happy.
For today’s blog post I thought it would be nice to make another one in my Hobonichi with an Autumn theme.
So I gathered the washi and deco sheets from the Hello Autumn collection from EllieBeth designs. The colours are just perfect for the look I wanted.
To begin I had to start with my trusted watercolours and adding some splats in my chosen colour theme.
I do love a bit of washi so I used the washi strips to add some more colour to my pages.
For the stickers, there wasn’t really a plan for where I wanted to place them so they are really just placed randomly and then using my stamps around them, and is really just a personal choice for yourself. Stamping can be done before after, there is nothing wrong with overlapping them either.
I had started off with just black ink but felt like I needed to bring in some more colour so brought in the Cajun craze and poppy parade, my inks smudged a little bit that just adds to the personal homemade feel.
The good thing with mind maps is that they can also act as a brain dump and allows you to get creative and who doesn’t love a bit of creativity and messy inky fingers.
I can keep adding to pages throughout the month or leave them the way they are but I will keep adding more and more to fill the page.
Why not try a mind map yourself they really are fun to create and if you do remember to share with us over on the Facebook page as we would love to see, you may even win a prize as Rachel has a monthly draw for people sharing within the group using EllieBeth design stickers.
