2022 one month in - Time for a custom order

Well, we’ve reached the start of February and I’ve already ‘kind of’ changed my planning system at least twice! This is the beauty of rings, I’ve moved things around and switched inserts a few times - and probably will again before I publish this blog 🤣

I seem to be very busy with work, family, house and personal projects already this year (January is normally quite slow for me) and keeping track of it all is a challenge.

I’ve gone back to the good old fashioned colour coding with different colour pens and this seems to be helping. I wanted to see if this worked before putting in a custom order with Rachel. Im going to order some scripts in the colours that I am using with my pens to save me writing the same thing each month and week. I love that this is an option with Rachel; you just email hello@elliebethdesignsuk.co.uk and start the conversation going and Rachel sends you great ideas and screen shots before you sign it off.

Rachel even designed a whole kit for the birth of my baby boys! She called them ‘Welcome to the world’. We worked together to choose art work, colour schemes, functionally, deco choices, everything! It was great to be able to design a kit with everything that I wanted and needed, a real luxury.

I loved the kit when it arrived and could not wait to start putting it all together. I planned to use it for the whole month of January (2019) as you never know when a baby will arrive. We used lots of diff colours to complement my ‘little boy’ theme so that it could work over several weeks.

I think it’s a lovely idea for a special occasion or important moment in your life if you're a planner person. We are documenting our days so why not make them extra special when we can. I love looking back and seeing how I made the papers if my planner reflect my life at that moment.

Something I’m trying for February is using one kit over a few weeks to see how many spreads I can get with all of the colours. It’s really worked for me for the first two weeks. I’m going to see if I can do this with the #stickerateMONTHLY kits for March too. I think this, combined with my colour coded scripts, will help me pull ‘all of the things’ together more.

How are you using your planner in February? Have you already changed once or twice?

Coming Next week:

Korrie-ann Peters - Flowers need time to bloom

How perfect are the colours in the Bloom kit, I love the peach and greens together. It is definitely giving me spring feelings. The artwork is just gorgeous and I’m so tempted to add colour to the leaves on the days of the week strip.

Two of my favourite planners are my Erin Condren A5 Agenda and my bullet journal. I really enjoyed using both these last year so when I seen the Focused notebook from Erin Condren I couldn’t resist it. It has a similar layout to my A5 agenda but the look of a bullet journal and is the perfect size to pop in my handbag. And it was also my favourite shade of green.
